
Meet our Eagle family!
Today we introduce you to Dr. Wayne Fawcett. Dr. Fawcett is the Superintendent
for the Paris School District. Fawcett has been in education for 37 years. He graduated from
Quachita Baptist University in 1982 with his Bachelors, later earning his Masters in Education
at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He received his Doctoral Degree from Harding
University in 2017. He is married with two children, four dogs and one cat. He enjoys various
sports, amateur art collecting and traveling. Fawcett chose Paris because “Paris has great
potential for growth in the education, business and tourism realm. The beauty of the area
and location make it a truly great place to live.”

Introducing the PES 4th grade ambassadors for 2019-2020 school year:
Cadance Gates, Chloe Moore, Cheyenne Quijada, Kymber Carter, Adalyn Forst, Andrea Phillips, Zayne Hunter, Kollyn Schluterman, Chloe Cope, Bailee Jones,
Kenleigh Whitecotton, Jake Brousseau, Kaydance Bankston, Riley Floren, Brooklyn Hice, Patience Rogers, Rome Campbell, Cooper Copsy, Micah Hamilton, Peyton Parrott.
These ambassadors will help welcome new students, deliver Friday food bags and give tours to new students/guests.

Paris Schools will NOT be in session on Monday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day! Enjoy the long weekend!

Good luck to our Sr. High football team as they host Subiaco for a benefit game August 22 @ 6:00 p.m.

Cross Country: Any 7th or 8th gr student interested in running Cross Country please contact Coach Hart during lunch or email dhart@parisschools.org. There will be a meeting Tuesday, August 20 at 11:20 am in the PMS Cafeteria. If you are interested, make plans to attend.


Thanks to generous community donations, Mrs. Pugh's kindergarten students were each able to take home a book of their own on Friday! This will continue once a month all school year!!! Love our community support! #RISEArkansas


Paris High School is now offering computer science as a new program this year! Currently, they have three very full classes and plan to expand the program in the future! #collegereadycareerreadylifeready


If you were unable to attend the registration event this year, there will be a few forms coming home this week for you to update, complete and/or sign. Please return those asap to your child's school office. Thank you!


PHS Parking passes are available BEFORE school, during mid morning break, lunch, or after school. Please bring updated insurance, registration, drivers license, and a completed parking pass form. Forms are on the office window!

Wellness Center Clinic - Clinic will start Monday, August 19th and will be from 8-10 am.

Mrs. Biggs got each of her 2nd grade students a new book to to keep as their own!


A few reminders for PES families -
~Parents MUST sign students in at the office if the student is late coming to school
~ID must be presented when having lunch with students
~ID and PIN must be given to pick up students. No exceptions.
~Parents must have students PIN for phone messages, checking out early, etc. If you did not pick up your student’s PIN at Registration or Open House please come by the PES office with you ID to get the PIN. Also, any phone messages for students must be made before 2:40. Thank you for your cooperation!!

Mrs. Tompkins’ class spent part of the morning spelling the “at word family” using play dough and had a little fun in the process!
