Jackie Lee, Director of the U of A Fruit Research Station, visited with 4th grade students at PES last week about growing grapes in Arkansas and the benefits of eating grapes. Students even had the chance to taste test some muscadines during her visit. #wearepariseagles
PES students are so excited when their class gets selected to "Eat with the Principal." Each month, 3 students are chosen from each classroom to have lunch with Mrs. Schluterman or Mr. Pearson. Students are chosen for a number of reasons from making improvements academically and/or behaviorally, demonstrating a positive work ethic, being helpful and demonstrating good character traits. Congratulations to this week's students who were selected!

4th grade students were tasked with a STEM challenge of building a cage for their toy tigers. The challenge was based around the book The Tiger Rising, which they recently finished. Students were placed in teams and given limited supplies to complete the build. They were very creative with their designs. #wearepariseagles

PHS Vet Science students in Mr. Binz's class had the opportunity to preform a necropsy and study the organs from a cow today.

Meet our Eagle Family! Today, we would like to introduce Ms. Rene Kiefer. Ms. Kiefer is our Counselor at Paris High School. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with her Bachelors, later earning her Masters in Education at Arkansas Tech University. Kiefer has been in education for 9 years. She has two grown sons, both graduates of Paris Schools, one granddaughter and enjoys hiking, reading and participating in triathlons. Kiefer chose Paris because “I moved to Paris during my college years from Illinois and fell in love with the Mt. Magazine area.”
