Good luck Basketball Eagles! Sr Girls Basketball will play in the Ozark Tournament at 10 am on December 27th vs County Line. The boys will play 11:15 on the 27th vs County Line. January 4th, Sr and Jr Basketball will play vs Lavaca. Go Blue!!!
Paris Schools will dismiss Thursday, December 20th, and Friday, December 21st at 1:30 (PES 1st bell at 1:20). We will resume a regular schedule on January 7th, 2019! Have a safe and happy holiday break!

3rd grade students have been learning how to develop "How To" writings in literacy class.
Congrats to the winners of the 2018 PES 3rd & 4th gr school-wide Spelling Bee - 1st Place: Zayne Hunter, 2nd Place: Cooper Copsy, 3rd Place: Marley Turner! They will all advance to compete at the Logan County Bee on January 26th at 9 am at St. Joseph School.
Students in Mr. Ty Varnell's ETE (Engineering and Technology Education) class at PMS have been designing & building their own CO2 dragsters. They then competed by racing the cars against one another. The students have been learning about thrust, pressure, friction and velocity.

This week in GT/STEM, 4th gr students worked on their coding skills using Dash Robots. Students used Legos to build and attach marker holders to the robots. Students then used a coding app to create an algorithm to program the robot to draw shapes, words & various doodles.
Good luck to our 3rd & 4th gr PES students competing in the school-wide spelling bee today at 1:30 pm in the PMS auditorium! Parents are invited to attend.

5th & 6th gr GT students have been researching entrepreneurs from Arkansas and are writing a book based on the research. Parents have the opportunity to pre-order the book. Forms are due by Friday Dec 21 even if you do not plan to purchase. Extra forms available in PMS office.
