October 21-25th, 2019 is National School Bus Safety Week! Some 25 million students nationwide begin and end their day with a trip on a school bus. Designed for safety, with flashing lights, giant mirrors, stop-sign arms and that bright yellow color, students are 70 times more likely to get to school safely when taking a school bus, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. School buses are designed to protect students through compartmentalization – closely spaced seats and high, energy-absorbing seat backs. A Recruiting Event for the U.S. Census Bureau is being held at the Paris Middle School Library at 602 North 10th St in Paris, AR TODAY from 2 - 4 pm. A representative will be there to assist and to answer questions. These are great temporary summer jobs. Nationwide, thousands will be hired to support their communities and get paid while doing it. You can apply online now at 2020census.gov/jobs.
Reminder on 10/23, all 8th grade students, except football boys, will report to PMS first period before going to School on the Mountain. 8th grade football boys will be bussed to mountain after practice. Thank you
PHS FBLA is hosting a community service project to help foster kids in our community. They are collecting money in jars at the high school. If $250 is raised, Coach O'Toole will get a pie in the face. If $500 is raised, Mr. Nichols will also get a pie in the face. If $1000 is raised, Dr. Fawcett has agreed to have 4 pies thrown on him at the same time!

Paris Elementary School is hosting a food drive in the month of October. There is a twist to this food drive! For every item your child brings to school, he/she will receive a ticket to vote for the staff member they want to wear a pumpkin costume on Halloween, October 31, 2019! Info was sent home with students last week!
ALL 8th grade football players need to go to Field House tomorrow and Wednesday 1st period for practice - boys will be transported by bus to the School on the Mountain after practice. All other 8th grade students report to the Middle School campus tomorrow and Wednesday for School on the Mountain. Thank you
