Congrats to our 3rd grade students who competed against other area schools in the STEM Olympiad at U of O today! Avri McCubbins, Camrie Day, Josslyn Smith placed 3rd in the On-Site Research Challenge! Konner Robison, Ethan Binkley, Hoyt Turner, Austyn Colvin placed 1st in the Sumo Robot competition! Camden Forst, Ella Freeman, Chevy Anhalt, Zerik Robison placed 1st in the Straw Bridge challenge! Way to go! #wearepariseagles




Paris Middle School hosted a Veterans Day Tribute for the community on November 11th. The assembly featured the presentation of the flags by the cub scout color guard and student presentations of their poems and thank you letters honoring our veterans. The audience also enjoyed a performance by the Paris Junior High Band. Craig Tecmire, Retired Commander of the United States Navy and current PHS history teacher, was the guest speaker at the assembly, sharing his experiences as a veteran and his insights on what it means to be a veteran. Thank you to all our area heroes who have served! #wearepariseagles

Mrs. Robin Hardgrave, retired educator, recently spoke to the students at PES about flag etiquette, what a veteran is and experiences of some of her close relatives and friends who are veterans.

PMS food drive to determine WHO will wear the turkey suit is underway!! Your candidates are: MRS. ULMER, MRS. BESHEARS, MR. NORRIS, MR. DRYMAN and last but certainly not least MR. PRIEUR!! Donations for this week are as follows: Tuesday – Breakfast bars, cereal bars, granola bars; Wednesday – Individual bas of cookies; Thursday – Ramen Noodles Friday – Pop tarts or Fruit Snacks. All food donations will be used in the school's backpack food program. Students receive feathers for their donations to place on the teacher of their choice. The teacher with the most feathers will wear the turkey suit all day one day before Thanksgiving Break!


Paris Freshman Travel Volleyball will be hosting a Little Eagle Volleyball Camp for grades K-4 Saturday, November 16 from 8:30 – 11:30. For a registration fee of only $30.00 you will receive a t-shirt and a snack in addition to some awesome volleyball training! Congrats to the 8th grade winners of the photo contest this week! The 8th grade students attended 2 days of Outdoor School on Mount Magazine last month, during which time they were encouraged to take photos of their experience and nature. Three students were selected as the winners of this competition: 1st place - Madison Case, 2nd place - Stephanie Arrendondo and 3rd place - Carson Loyd! The judges were so impressed, they suggested the students should enter their work in the county fair next fall!

PES students are so excited when they get selected to "Eat Lunch with the Principal." Each week, 3 students are chosen from each classroom from a specific grade level to have lunch with Mrs. Schluterman or Mr. Pearson. Students are chosen for a number of reasons, from making improvements academically and/or behaviorally, demonstrating a positive work ethic, to being helpful and demonstrating good character traits. Congratulations to last week's students who were selected from 4th grade!
