Paris High School students, currently enrolled in computer science courses, were part of a select group of participants from across Arkansas who were recently invited to attend a STEM day at Southwest Power Pool in Little Rock. While in attendance, students learned about the jobs available, working hands on with a cyber security expert and an electrical engineer.
SPP employs over 600 people and oversees the power distribution on the power grid. Paris is part of the Southwest Power Pool and receives their power distribution through them.
