A schoolwide PBIS initiative can impact school climate in multiple ways, including improving academic achievement, reducing discipline referrals, and increasing attendance.The foundation of PBIS in any school is its school wide behavior matrix, which helps the school community establish a common language and identify universal goals for behavior. The schoolwide matrix applies to all community members and is often used as the primary measurement for behavior within the classroom. Please review this matrix as the Paris School District begins implementation of Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS). We hope this helps promote positive behavior from staff, students, and community members when visiting PSD!

The Paris School Board will hold a work session with Ray Beardsley, financial advisor, Thursday November 3rd at 5 pm. There will be no agenda and no action will be taken.

Mr. Jim Loyd welcomed the Rotary Club on Wednesday to the Paris School District to visit the ATU Career Center housed on the campus of Paris High School. ATU Ozark Chancellor, Bruce Sikes, was also on hand to discuss the partnership Paris Schools and Arkansas Tech has to provide opportunities for PHS students to to be well-prepared to enter the workforce with skills in programming and the health industry.

Congratulations to the PHS Girl’s Cross Country Team as they finished as runner-ups in todays district meet!
VB State Pep Bus: A bus will be provided for students, grades 9-12, who wish to attend Wednesday’s volleyball state tournament game. Game is at 4:00 at Harding Academy and bus will leave at 1:00. Cost is $5 which doesn’t include ticket or food. Please sign up in the HS office by 10:00 Wednesday morning with money.
Tickets must be purchased online but you may wait to make sure enough sign up for the bus.
Paris opens up the state tournament with a 25-2 victory over Rose Bud.
Set 2 Paris wins 25-13
Set 3 Paris wins 25-11 and advances to the 2nd round on Wednesday to play Baptist Prep at 4:00!
Paris Schools will be hosting a Veteran's Day Program in partnership with the Paris Chamber of Commerce on Thursday November 10th. Any Paris School District student is invited to send in a picture of a veteran in their family and/or a picture with their veteran. Pictures will only be accepted digitally and can be emailed to: vday@parisschools.org
Please include student's name and grade and the Veteran's name and service.
