April 16: All campuses will have bottled water for students and staff on Monday and Tuesday due to the boil order going on in Paris.
The Paris School District has promoted Trey Prieur to MS Principal for the upcoming school year. The School Board approved this at the Board Meeting on the 13th based on the recommendation from Superintendent Mr Loyd. Mr Prieur has been the assistant at the MS for the past 5 years and assistant at the HS for 1 year. Congratulations

Mr Loyd and other staff was able to stop by Mrs Hart's 8th grade Science classroom today as they participated in a biology unit and discussing natural selection. She challenged the kids to find a place to camouflage a butterfly in the classroom.

SPORTS SCHEDULE UPDATE:
Baseball/Softball vs Cedarville has been PPD due to threat of severe weather and the distance of travel for Cedarville.
HOWEVER, Paris Baseball will travel to Subiaco on TUESDAY for a 4:00 Varsity game only.
We will update if anything else changes due to weather.
Today was the Alternative Education Day at the Capitol in Little Rock. Paris was well represented with being awarded 2 Highest Achievement Awards in ELA ACT Aspire and Math ACT Aspire. Also Shawn Harrel (PES) and Ivan Robinson (PMS) were recipients of the Diamond Award for displaying diligence, perseverance, sensitivity and resiliency! Congratulations to the District's Alternative Learning Programs and these 2 students!

Students from ATCC-Paris had a great time attending Draft Day in Fort Smith. Students got to tour the expo, meet with employers, and learn about many career opportunities in Fort Smith and the River Valley. They also got to interact with the VR and simulations on the Be Pro Be Proud bus, which was AWESOME!
Our two seniors also gained experience interviewing with employers today, one of which received her first professional offer!
Today's softball and baseball games have been cancelled.
Congratulations to Max Lunsford for earning a second place medal in the Junior High Chess Tournament and to Yengnong Xiong for earning a third place medal in the Senior High Chess Tournament today in Ozark!
