BASEBALL REGIONAL UPDATE:
Due to the threat of rain on Saturday, all games will be played on Friday. Paris will play Booneville at 10:00 on Friday in the first semi-final game. The next semi-final game will be played at 12:30. The third place game will be played Friday at 3:00 and the championship game Friday at 5:30.

Today, staff from PMS and PHS experienced The Journey Home. The Journey Home was presented by the Citizen Review Panel member. This includes The Call, DCFS, a foster parent, CASA, the River Valley child advocacy center, school employees, law enforcement, and the court system. The Journey Home takes individuals through the process of a child experiencing being placed in foster care. Staff were informed and experienced a child being removed from a motel room, going to Annie’s House of Hope and what it means to go to a Child Advocacy Center. They also experienced a child being placed in foster care as well as experiencing and understanding what the court process looks like for a child in foster care and their families. They were informed on what being a CASA volunteer means and the benefits of a child in foster care having a CASA volunteer and the need for foster parent in our immediate area. PES Staff went through the same journey earlier this semester.

Paris School District is accepting Qualification Statements for Architectural/Engineering Services. The information will be used to qualify firms for potential projects associated with the Paris School District. Design professionals are expected to have architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineering experience for new construction projects, as well as renovations and upgrades to existing buildings and sites. The Qualification Request is due on June 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Paris School District Administration Building, 2711 E Walnut St, Paris, AR 75855.
The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all responses and to accept the qualifications that are determined to be the most favorable to the District. No respondent will be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, gender, age, ancestry, religion, marital status, national origin, medical condition, physical disability, or sexual orientation.
3A-4 District Baseball and Softball Tournament starts this Monday hosted at Danville. Softball plays on Monday and baseball will play Thursday. Good luck to both teams and Go Eagles!

Maddie Ullrich qualified for Senior High District as a 9th grader and got second in the Mile with a time of 6:25. She will be running for Senior High State Track.
Mason Ullrich was first for the Mile with a time of 4:59 and first for the 800 with a time of 2:12.
State is April 30th in Jessieville.
