8th grade students in Mrs. Owen's science classes spent time flying paper airplanes they created, to test how the weight of paper affects the distance the airplane would fly. They recorded their hypothesis and then charted the data from their trial runs to graph the variations.

Mrs. Amber Hampton's 6th grade literacy students sharing about books they've read to get other students interested in reading!

The PHS Cheer and Football teams greeted the PES Eagles this morning, listened to them read in the classroom and visited with them on the playground and while they ate breakfast! What a great Eagle family we have!

A representative from Jostens visited with PHS Seniors regarding Caps/Gowns & Grad Announcements and with Juniors presenting SR ring order options this morning. Jostens will return on Wednesday, September 5th for students to place orders.

Students in Mrs. Wewers’ class worked in groups to analyze a retelling of The Prometheus Myth. They provided summarized pieces of the text and pulled evidence to determine his character. This is a launch activity for their first class novel- The Lightning Thief.



Mrs. Pope’s 5th grade students have been working on writing 6 word memoirs as a beginning of the year activity. They were challenged to write their story using only 6 words. Today students shared their story with the rest of the class.
