Congratulation to Mrs. Anne Canada, PMS Media Specialist! As a member of the 2018-19 Declaration of Learning team, Canada has been selected to present as one of "The Best Of" at the Year 4 Arkansas Declaration of Learning Celebration Event this June!

Paris School District will host our 5th Annual Student Registration event July 31 & August 1, 2019, from 1:00 – 7:00 in the PHS Cafeteria. New and current students and parents/guardians should plan to attend. Students will get their schedule and/or homeroom teacher and there will be several drawings for $50.00 gift cards!

PMS Semester Test Schedule: Tuesday: 5/21/19 – 2nd, 4th and 6th period tests. 1st, 3rd and 5th period review. Wednesday: 5/22/19 – 1st, 3rd, & 5th period tests – 1:30 Awards Ceremony in auditorium. Thursday: 5/23/19 – Make up tests, STUDENTS DISMISS AT 1:30; Friday: 5/24 – Last day of school…everyone dismisses at 1:30.

Paris Middle School will have an end of the year awards assembly May 22, at 1:30 in the auditorium. Everyone is invited to attend!

Current seventh grade volleyball students FYI – practice will be this week on Wednesday and Thursday at PHS gym from 3:30 – 5:30. If you are going to come to practice you MUST have a physical COMPLETED BEFORE practice. Physical forms are available in the office.

Basketball practice for current 6th grade students has been rescheduled to NEXT Monday and Tuesday.

Join us at the Powderpuff Football game on May 16th to help raise funds for FBLA students attending Nationals!

Seniors will have graduation practice on May 16th at 9 am, walk-through at PES at 10:30 am and graduation commencement on May 19th at 2 pm in the PHS gym.

The Athletic Banquet for PHS Senior High Athletes will be on Tuesday, May 14 at 6:00 at Paris First Assembly of God. A sit down supper and award presentation will be on the agenda. Each senior high athlete will receive admission plus 2 free guest. We will have sign ups in the High School office starting the week of April 29. Any additional guest will cost $10 a ticket. Business casual dress for the evening.

Fifth grade students try out merge cube technology in science class.





PES 4th gr students performed their annual end of the year program for the student body & parents on May 9th - A Night at the Movies. Students performed skits, songs and dances from several iconic movies of various eras. The program wrapped up with a slideshow of the students from their years at PES.

PMS celebrated Ms. June Gilbreath on May 10th for her 46 years in education! June is retiring at the end of the 2018/19 school year. We will greatly miss such an amazing teacher and role model and wish her well on her new journey!



The Career and Technical Education Advisory Council held their annual meeting on May 10th. Teachers were able to share the experiences the career and technical education classes offer to our students. Community members were able to offer feedback about skills that need to be addressed for the future workforce.


PHS students in Mrs. Buchanan's Spanish classes recently learned how to make their own traditional Mexican street tacos, rice and fresco de ensalada de fruta during their food unit of study.





Congrats to Kane Miller & Kiya Xiong, the newest members of the PES AR Rockstar Club to reach 275 points! They have earned trophies! Students in 2nd-4th gr can earn Accelerated Reader points by reading books of their choice & taking quizzes on those books.
