CONGRATULATIONS QUIZ BOWL: 6th grade got 4th place in our co-op. This is a huge deal because they had to beat out 12 schools. Their questions were VERY hard, to say the least, and far beyond their grade level. Good job Eagles!

Congratulations to the Paris Middle School Band and Director Mr Jeremy Drymon! On Tuesday, at the Region Concert Assessment, the students earned a 2nd Division (Excellent Rating) on stage and a 1st Division (Superior Rating) in sight-reading.

The Paris School District has decided it is best to call tomorrow, February 24, 2022, an AMI day. This will keep our students off hazardous roads and at home safe and warm. The decision about an AMI Day for Friday will be made on Thursday.

Congratulations! Paris Middle has been recognized by the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas as a school that is Beating the Odds, because students demonstrated high growth on the ACT Aspire even though the school serves a high percentage of students who participate in Free and Reduced Lunch!
In our Beating the Odds report to be released tomorrow, Paris Middle received the following "Beating the Odds" awards:
Statewide ELA Growth: Middle School Level
High ELA Growth: Middle Level (Northwest Region)
Awards are based on the 2021 content growth score calculated by the Arkansas Department of Education. These growth scores reflect how much students at the school improved from 2019 compared to how much they were expected to grow considering prior achievement. We recognize schools based on Overall growth, as well as for growth in Math and English Language Arts separately.
