Congrats to the following students for reading 50 books to become the newest members of the Paris Elementary 1st grade Brown Bear Reading club: Eden Honea, Paisley Hixson and Blake Barham! Way to go!

Due to time constraints this afternoon at PMS, and in an effort to afford seventh and eighth grade students enough time to prepare for and present their Student Council speeches, as well as to allow ample time for students to vote, a last minute decision was made by our Student Council sponsors to move the speeches to Friday during 6th period.
We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused for parents attempting to attend and watch these speeches being presented. Parents are of course invited to attend Friday, September 6, if they would like. Thank you

This morning, we received information of a possible threat, written on a bathroom wall at the high school. We, immediately, went into a code yellow lockdown district-wide and began a thorough investigation and school-wide search. Through sample handwriting and video evidence, school administration were able to isolate two students believed responsible and notified their parents and the Paris Police Dept. After the students were remanded to police custody and the building was cleared, the lockdown was lifted and a normal school day was resumed. Our students' safety is our top priority.

PES Parents/Guardians: If you have not received the PIN for checking out your student, please come by the office, with ID, to get your student's PIN. The PIN will not be given out over the phone.
For the safety of our students, ID and PIN are necessary for checking out students and having lunch with students.
Thank you for your cooperation
