We're ecstatic about the new Book Vending Machine at PES! It's part of our plan to make literacy a priority and motivate children to become better readers.
Each week classroom teachers will choose a STAR student. That student will earn a golden coin they can use for a free book from the vending machine that they get to keep and take home. This is just one more tool in our literacy plan to promote reading skills, increase reading levels and spark the fire for reading in our school.
Research shows children who have developed reading skills perform better in school and have a healthier self-image. They become life-long learners and sought-after employees. We believe that EAGLE READERS are tomorrow's LEADERS!
