Governor Asa Hutchinson announced on Tuesday March 30 that the state-wide mask mandate will be lifted effective Thursday, April 1. However, State Secretary of Education Johnny Key has advised all state school districts that any changes in local district mask policies must be approved by the local school board. With this in mind, the Paris School District will be adhering to our current mask policy until our next scheduled School Board meeting which is scheduled for April 8, 2021. The board will discuss the policy and a decision on any modifications will be made at that time. In the event the matter is taken up in a special meeting, the public will be notified of the meeting date and time.
