- Football: Good luck to our football teams this week – 10/12 7th grade & Jr. High vs. Two Rivers at home; 10/13 Sr. High @ Two Rivers.
- Volleyball: Good luck to our Lady Eagles: 10/10 7/JRA/JRB/V vs. Lincoln at home; 10/12 JRA/V vs. Greenforest at home (Senior Night); 10/14 JRA compete in District Tournament @ Greenforest; 10/16-10/20 SRA compete in Sr. High District at Elkins.
- Wrestling: Any eighth-grade boy or girl wrestlers will start wrestling on 10/16/23 – 3:30 to 5:15 Monday through Friday in the safe room with PHS wrestlers. Football players wait until after season to join. Parent Meeting in the safe room at 5:25 following practice 10/16 for all 8th graders who are wrestling. Football players are included in the parent meeting but not practice yet. Even if you haven’t signed up yet, any 8 grader who wants to wrestle can come 10/16/23!
- Boo Grams: Beginning Monday 10/9/23 Student Council will be selling “Boo-Grams” for $2 each in Mrs. Cole’s room #8 as well as at lunch on Wednesdays and at P/T Conferences too!! Deliveries will be 10/31 during 7th period and last day to order is 10/26!! Email tcole@parisschools.org with questions.
- Pep Rally: Thursday, 10/12/23 Paris Middle School will host a Pep Rally in the auditorium at 2:15 – everyone get loud and proud!! Parents are welcome to attend!
- Book Fair!!! Middle School will host a Book Fair 10/13 – 10/19 – All kinds of wonderful treasures await!! Make sure to bring your money and get ready to shop!
- 8th grade: School on the Mountain will be 10/17 and 10/18…always a fun, educational and exciting time for our students and teachers!! Enjoy!
- 6th grade field trip: Sixth grade students will take a field trip to the Little Rock Zoo 10/27/23 – the cost will be $6.00 per student – sixth grade will depart at 8:15 and return by 3:00. Please return permission slips and payment 10/20/23.
- Yearbooks: Yearbooks are on SALE!!! Order by 10/20/23 and save $$ plus get FREE icons if you get your book personalized – order forms are available in classrooms, the office or order online at www.jostensyearbooks.com - See Mrs. Hart or Mrs. Johnson for more information!
- GATE: Remember…GT is in room A3 – 5th and 6th GT students meet Tuesday 11:00 – 12:00, Wednesday 2:30 – 3:15 and Thursday 11:00 – 12:00. 7th and 8th grade GT students will meet Wednesdays 1:49 – 2:30.
- HAC login: I’ve had a few students asking about logging in to check grades – please use this new login http://hac23.esp.k12.ar.us/

- A Games: Our first A Games will be Friday, October 13!!! All students play!! Points can be earned for your team EVERY day you are AT school!! Earn bonus points by giving a book talk as well as points earned during the actual competition!!!
- 2nd 9 weeks: First nine weeks ends this Friday, 10/13/23 – your second nine weeks classes will begin Monday, 10/16/23 - check them out and make sure you know where you’re going! (Fifth grade will receive a new copy of their schedules from first period teachers)
- Flu Clinic: Paris Schools will host a Flu Clinic 10/16/23 – be on the lookout for the forms which will be handed out soon and due back BEFORE the Flu Clinic.
- Parent Teacher Conferences: Paris Schools will dismiss early (1:20) for Parent Teacher Conferences to be held 10/19/23 from 2:00 – 7:00. Report Cards will be distributed at that time.
- Day off: Paris Schools will not be in session 10/20/23 – enjoy the long weekend!
- Early Dismissal: Paris Middle School will dismiss early (probably around 1:20 ish) on November 1, 2023, for Teacher Professional Development.
- Picture Retakes: Picture retakes for fall pictures will be 11/1/23.
- Daylight Savings Time: Remember to “fall back” one hour 11/5/23 – Daylight Savings time ends.
