
Congrats to the following students who have read over 50 books to become members of the PES 1st grade Brown Bear Reading Club: Tommy Hatcher, Alayna Goldsmith, Marlee Jo Rogers, Rachel James, Brayson Reed, Cody Yandell, Noah Valdez, Cammie Adway and Sydnie Hankins!

Mrs. Schluterman's 2nd gr class enjoyed green dragon apples today, provided by the Fresh Fruit and Veggie Program at PES. They thought it was neat that it was named after the Chinese symbol for royalty, were fascinated by the star in the core and were surprised by the sweetness.

Mrs. Patterson's 4th grade class watched a video, briefly explaining each of the 5 military branches. The students then voted which one they would like to join or were interested in. With that data, they made individual bar graphs representing the top 3 choices in the classroom.

Mrs. Robin Hardgrave, retired educator, and Lakaen Schluterman, PES assistant principal, recently spoke to the students at PES about flag etiquette, what a veteran is and experiences of some of their relatives and friends who are veterans.

PES is in need of donations of new or gently used shoes for boys and girls sz 12 youth to sz 7 adult, new or gently used pants for boys and girls sz 5 to sz 16 and boys new underwear sz 6 and 8 for the clothing closet. Donations can be brought to the PES office. Thank you!
