
3rd grade students have been learning how to develop "How To" writings in literacy class.

Congrats to the winners of the 2018 PES 3rd & 4th gr school-wide Spelling Bee - 1st Place: Zayne Hunter, 2nd Place: Cooper Copsy, 3rd Place: Marley Turner! They will all advance to compete at the Logan County Bee on January 26th at 9 am at St. Joseph School.

Congrats to the first members of the PES 100 Point Club! Students in 2nd-4th gr can earn Accelerated Reader points by reading books of their choice & taking quizzes on those books. Congrats to Grace, Kerrington, Kiya, Marley & Sawyer on earning a personalized t-shirt & gold star!

This week in GT/STEM, 4th gr students worked on their coding skills using Dash Robots. Students used Legos to build and attach marker holders to the robots. Students then used a coding app to create an algorithm to program the robot to draw shapes, words & various doodles.

Good luck to our 3rd & 4th gr PES students competing in the school-wide spelling bee today at 1:30 pm in the PMS auditorium! Parents are invited to attend.

Attention PES students - Come to school on Friday, Dec 21 dressed in your coziest jammies! We will enjoy Christmas Activities & eat special treats. Weather permitting, we will go outside for recess, so make sure to wear some extra warm jammies and no house shoes/slippers. Thanks

Paris Schools will dismiss early on Dec 20th & 21st, beginning at 1:20 at PES for Christmas Break and classes will resume regular schedule on Monday, January 7. Enjoy your break!

PES 2nd gr read What Dogs Want for Christmas. Students & staff love animals so much they hosted a pet drive for their furry friends. 3rd gr & 2nd gr brought in the most donations, receiving an extra recess! Donations went to local animal shelters. Thanks to everyone who helped!
