Paris Elementary School hosted Literacy nights for K-4th grades on December 10th and 12th. Students enjoyed hearing Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas, read by retired educator and PHS alum, Dr. Glenda Ezell. Families were also treated to some grinch juice and cookies, a surprise visit from the Grinch himself and had the opportunity to make their own bookmarks and tour the decorated hallways.

Congrats to our PES Spelling Bee local winners: 1st place - Addie Forst, 2nd place - Riley Clare, 3rd place - Avri McCubbins! These students will advance to compete in the County Spelling Bee, held at St. Joseph's Hall, Paris on Saturday, January 11th at 9:00 am. Great job by everyone! #wearepariseagles

Each week, 3 students are chosen from each classroom from a specific grade level to have lunch with Mrs. Schluterman or Mr. Pearson. Students are chosen for a number of reasons, from making improvements academically and/or behaviorally, demonstrating a positive work ethic, to being helpful and demonstrating good character traits. The past couple of weeks, Pre-K has been learning about careers and have enjoyed having community helpers to visit!
TONIGHT is Literacy Night at PES for 2nd-4th grade students and their families at 6 pm! Join us for a christmas story, snacks, activities and to tour the decorated hallways! The Grinch may sneak in as well! #wearepariseagles

1st and 2nd Grade from 8:30-9:20
Pre-K and Kindergarten from 10:00-10:45
3rd and 4th Grade from 1:30-2:30

Third grade students are learning about goal setting in Mrs. Moss' counseling class. Students chose personal goals and then decided if they would be long term or short term goals. Some of the students' goals included: making a new friend in the 2020 school year, winning the school spelling bee and becoming a better reader. #wearepariseagles
