book exchange

PMS 6th grade student, Kirsten Schneider, had an idea and put it into to action recently. She thought it would be a neat idea to have a book exchange at school with the other students. So she brought the idea to Mrs. Canada who helped her organize the event. Students were invited to bring in gently read books during the week of February 4-8th. For each book brought in, the students received a ticket to use during the exchange event. The following week, students were invited to come to the library before and after school and during recess to browse and purchase the books donated using their tickets. The library was set up similar to a book fair where students could shop by genre. Students were also randomly awarded prizes for bringing books to the exchange event. Overall, the event was a hit!
