Mrs. Kati Patterson's 4th grade students have been learning about Free Market Economy, profit, supply and demand in Social Studies. Today, the students were asked to write a paragraph about a business they would like to start. They were asked to tell what products/services they would provide, and why there would be a demand for their products/services. Some of their business ideas included a pet shelter, offering $5 pony rides to support the needs of the pets, home decor shops, card shops, arts and crafts shops, nerf gun parks, hunting and fishing stores, and many more. They also drew their businesses and what products they would provide. Mrs. Patterson said "The kids loved it and were really able to connect and have fun while learning about the economy and how it works!"
